EXPECTATIONS

IMG064

Gone all the days of past year,

Now its time for more happiness and cheer,

More hopes and expectations from NEW YEAR.

Let’s pray for new beginning of the day,

With absence of grief, pain and fear.

I prayed to god about my expectations,

Which would be fulfilled this year.

Though like others my dreams would be same,

but I hope of completing some of them.

I want to leave all the bad habits,

Erase all the bad things in me,

All the negative image in me that people see.

I want to become-

A caring brother for my sister,

A loving son for my mother,

A good person for my society,

A helpful friend for all my friends.

I am also expecting a special girl,

Who would enter in my lonely life,

and fill the emptiness within me.

Hope this New Year will bring,

More happiness and joy in my family.

May success will knock my door,

and our life will be peaceful like sea shore.

Oh god! please help me in each step,

in fulfilling my every expectations.

with this I complete my prayer,

A prayer of hope for the NEW YEAR.

AMEN

THE CANDLE

pillar-candle-burning
The candle says-
I am used at night
I love to shine bright
I strive to disperse the darkness
I teach others the virtue of kindness

The candle ventilates
Strong winds cause me flicker
Never the less I strive to burn brighter
I am not put down by hindrances
I teach others the virtue of perseverance
The candle expatiates
My life is transitory and short
Yet, I fail to tender other light and comfort
Let, this world remember you
For your altruism-the greatest virtue.

THE SKY

sky-and-flowers

I am the sky

spreading my arms

Far above over high

Over rivers and farms

Sun is one eye

The others being the moon

One soothes the night

Another blazes the noon

Clouds are my eyelids

Rain, my tears

Thunder, my organ

That every child fears

Lightening on my face

Point to my smile

I am endless

from miles to miles

The earth is my love

She is far below

without any feeling

Of guilt or of apology

He wants to redden

The body of the dove

But its color is white

Of peace and love.

O ALMIGHTY!

Image

My eyes locked up on the horizon;

My heart crying for thy world seeing pain,

They believe you reside here ,somewhere here.

Carved on stone, adorned with sculpture,

Dragged from their hearts,

To dwell in dark ugly haunt.

Their hands stained red,

They walk to your shrine, to clean the sins,

They negotiate with your  idol,

To wash off the redness,

They bow before you,

To stave off the danger.

O heavenly King!

Refrain them from turning,

Your beautiful world into worthlessness.

Prevent them from butchering,

Your awe-inspiring creations into a naught.

Pay heed to their cries,

For the life of their kin in helplessness.

Comfort them in grave situations,

When engulfing emptiness shatters them.

Bless them with your warmth,

That protects against the cold cruelty.

O Almighty!

Your world request you,

Bestow upon them your enlightening rays,

Show us the dawn bringing a realm of hope,

The sky free from black of fire from beneath,

Painted with colors of joy.

An earth devoid of echoes of cries of helpless,

Adorned with enchantments of delight.

People around grow and develop,

Without lurking venegeance.

Each drop of water so pure,

To heal all prevailing enmity.

The breath of air lacking chokes of evil,

Spreading the fragnance of incense sticks.

Each word speaks not of curse,

But of blissful blessings.
